The Service Guys were formed as a niche repair team to fill a void in the metalworking machine tool industry, specifically in the bandsaw repair market. The goal was simple and attainable – maintain 100% customer satisfaction. Earn every sale with trust, because we already maintain the equipment our customers have - who better to buy new machines from? Service is what matters in the end, not a name, not a price tag. Our customers need to run their machines. Service is where we started, service is where we maintain our roots.
With over 30 years combined experience in metalworking machinery and a desire to create a new business model, the original service guys, Dave Meyer and Chris Tarvestad, set out to spread the word with overwhelming response. The Service Guys now specialize not only in saws, but are adept in most metal working machinery in general. Machinery such as Saws, Mills, Lathes, Length Gauging, Grinders, Tube Benders, Plasma Tables, Press Brakes, Shears and other related machinery. We have people factory trained in many areas of repair and proper maintenance, most notably in Hyd-Mech, Marvel , Spartan and Amada band saws, as well as a whole host of other machines. With this extensive experience, we can overcome almost problem due to your machinery failure and can also cover almost any application through our extensive supplier network.
Today, we have grown from a service only outfit to a service and supply company with more access to the machinery and tools you need to become more efficient and more profitable. We now have more knowledge to draw on from our strategic alliances. We also have added more stability to offer to our most important prospects – our customers.
In regards to service, the
basis of our business, we now offer things people only dreamed about
just a few short years ago.
Things like:
- Service history by serial number. A simple idea that can transform the way you buy machinery.
- We can set reminders in our software to remind our customers of important calibration, oil changes / filters, or simple cleaning routines need to be performed to minimize downtime.
- If you buy a machine from
one of our customers, we can instantly tell you everything we’ve ever done
to it, just by serial number. We don’t care if the machine has been to 10
different shops. As long as we serviced it, we can tell you exactly what
we did.
